Welcome to Pixel Pop Corner! We’re all about keeping things fun, but we also want to be transparent about how we handle your data. Here’s what you need to know:

Who We Are

Our website address is: http://pixelpopcorner.com.

Comments

When you leave a comment on our site, we collect the info you provide in the comment form, as well as your IP address and browser info. This helps us keep the site free from spam! If you use Gravatar, we might check to see if you’re using it by generating an anonymized string from your email (called a hash). For more details on Gravatar’s privacy policy, check out Gravatar’s Privacy Policy.

Media

If you’re uploading images to our site, please avoid including any location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can extract location data from images, so we just want to keep things safe.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, we’ll offer to save your name, email, and website in cookies to make it easier for next time (because who likes filling out forms twice?). These cookies last for one year.
If you log in, we’ll set up a few cookies to save your login info and display settings. Login cookies last for 2 days, and screen preferences last for a year. If you choose “Remember Me,” you’ll stay logged in for two weeks. If you log out, the cookies go away. If you make any changes to a post, a cookie will be saved, but it won’t have any personal data.

Embedded Content

Some of our content (like videos or articles) may come from other websites. These sites may collect your data and use cookies too, and if you’re logged into those sites, they might track your interactions. Just a heads-up!

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, we might include your IP address in the reset email (just to keep things secure).

How Long We Keep Your Data

When you leave a comment, it sticks around forever (so we can catch any follow-up comments straight away).
For registered users, we store your profile info and you can change or delete it whenever you want. The only thing you can’t change is your username! Admins can see and edit your info, too.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and we’ll happily send it your way. You can also ask us to erase your data. However, we’re required to keep certain data for legal and security purposes (sadly, some stuff we can’t delete).

Where Your Data Goes

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service (because we’re all about keeping things clean!).
